Our Pastors
The Rev. Allan K. Brooks came to Baldwin Community United Methodist Church as our Lead Pastor from serving on the staff of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference as the Children, Youth and Young Adult Coordinator. He worked with Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar to take young people on spiritual pilgrimage to the Christian Community of Taize’ in the south of France www.taize.com He also worked to strengthen ministries with young people across the state of New Jersey, serving as a church consultant.
Before that Allan was Director of Children and Youth Ministries at Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association in Ocean Grove, NJ. www.oceangrove.org at time of a revival of young ministries, helping in the creation of new ministries such as Christian Beach Festivals, "Missions 101” and Christian Concerts. Allan produced concerts with Michael W. Smith, Third Day, Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Pillar, Natalie Grant, Building 429, Falling Up, Jars of Clay and others. Prior to this Allan served churches in our Western PA Conference for twenty years.
Allan is married to Cheryl and they have two daughters Carly, and Maggie. Cheryl is currently employed as a teaching assistant with autistic children at The Day School at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, www.amazingkids.org and pursuing her Masters of Education Degree along with Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst. Carly and Maggie both enjoying playing in and traveling with the school band, and Maggie performs in the school musical productions. The Brooks family is excited about coming home and being in ministry with the faithful of people at Baldwin Community.

The Rev. Jeffrey T. St. Clair joined the pastoral staff July 1, 2006. Jeff is 35 years old and brings a wealth of experiences which include public school teaching. Pastor Jeff graduated from California University of PA in 1997 with a BS Ed. in Elementary/Special Education. He taught first grade in West Palm Beach, FL and middle school emotional support in Williamsport, MD.
In the spring of 1999, Jeff received his calling from the Lord to go into Pastoral Ministry. In 2003, Jeff received his Masters of Divinity at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In 2006 he was ordained as an elder in The Western PA Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Jeff’s spiritual gifts are administration, shepherding, visioning, evangelism, teaching and pastoring. Jeff also has a vision for outreach and mission, once serving as a Conference Facilitator for Igniting Ministries and now serving on the Conference committee for Parish and Community Development, New Church Starts Team as well as the District Committee on Superintendency. In recent years, he has taken multiple mission trips to places like Santiago, Dominican Republic, Nogales, Mexico and Oak Hill, WV. Jeff also shares his passion for camping ministries with the church as he serves the WPA Conference as a dean of Mommy, Daddy and Me Camp at Jumonville (www.jumonville.org). Jeff serves on the Board of Directors at Jumonville.
Prior to coming to Baldwin Community Methodist Church, Jeff served as pastor at Speers/Dunlevy UMC’s from 1999-2003 and at Harrisville UMC from 2003-2006.
Jeff is also the teaching pastor for Baldwin Community’s new Alternative Service, The Asbury @lternative. Since coming to Baldwin Community, Jeff developed and led the H.E.L.P. Parenting Class, which has led to Friday Family Fun Nights, Date Night and a variety of family opportunities.
In 2008, Jeff received the Lewis Fellowship from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. He is one of a few young ordained pastors throughout the country participating in this unique experience, taking him across the country to learn from current church leaders. In 2009, Jeff participated in a young clergy cohort with Dr. Brian Bauknight, through The Western PA Annual Conference.
Pastor Jeff, the son of a United Methodist pastor, is married to Jennifer, a RN at Children’s Hospital and are blessed with three wonderful children; Aaron 11, Alayna 9, and Abigail 6.

Rev. Dr. Bruce Bryce, Congregational Care Pastor
The Rev. Dr. Bruce E. Bryce volunteers as the Congregational Care Pastor. His main responsibillities are to visit the shut-ins and those recently hospitalized. Dr. Bryce is also involved in broadening the pastopral ministry of the church through visitation and discovering new ways to enhance communication between the church and her members. He believes that if someone isn't able to get to church, it is the church's responsibility to get to them and to communicate the love of Christ in a bodily presence.
Bruce is a retired pastor who has served United Methodist and United Presbyterian churches for more than fifty years. He was also the Protestant Chaplain at Mercy Hospital, Jameson Hospital in New Castle and the Veterans Administration Hospital on Highland Drive in Pittsburgh. He was Director of Pastoral Care for Sewickley Valley Hospital and a founder of Family Hospice and Palliative Care here in the South Hills.
Bruce received his BA from Otterbein College, his Master od Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Theological Seminary.
